Born To Shop - Good Morning.
[i=s] Post Last Edit by phoenixdark at 7-6-2010 22:01 This pattern is from the Born to Shop: Life Lessons in Cross Stitch Book. The pattern I'm doing is Good Morning. I'll probably be updating photos by hour intervals rather than weeks, as it's going to be a present for my mother and her birthday is on the 18th of July...I'm just good at leaving things last minute :D .

The pattern itself is 103^99 Stitches and uses 18 colours. I'm using a mix of DMC and Anchor threads (as I have heaps of them in storage and decided it's time to use some). I'm stitching it on 14 Count White adia, with 3 threads for full and 3/4 stitches and 1 thread for backstitch.
I started getting things ready for the pattern on the 5th of July.

I had night shift at work on the 5th, so I took it in with me and I worked on it around 2hrs between 11.30pm, and 5.00am (had to keep putting it down and picking it up around work). I managed to get the floss sorted, the material in the middle. I finished the hair and started some of the face. I didn't really get a lot done, it was sooo cold on the wharf that night and my fingers hurt. Im going to do more today, and will take another photo probably when I hit 5hrs.
it's great! Happy stitching! Can't wait to see the finish :) I love your new project. Enjoy stitching. I've been at work for the last 2 days so I haven't had a lot of time to do my cross stitch there, since i've been working with the copper ore...very messy. But i did get a bit done at home. I'm up to 11hrs of stitching now. I took a photo at 5hrs and another at 10.
